Family medicine: Most doctors appreciate the patient's spouse being a part of these meetings. The history is more complete. There is a better sense of the patient, their life, and the family dynamics. It is your visit and thus your choice who is present with you.

It is a good: Idea to have your wife present. She can help you remember to speak about all the issues and help you do whatever follow up he recommends.
