Generally, not: In the pediatric age bracket, certain types of embryologic cancers are common. As our bodies age, certain cancers in young people are a result of genetic predisposition. As an adult with a competent immune system most of us statistically run minimal risk for cancer except excesses like smoking alcohol consumption, and exposure to heavy metals or toxic chemicals. Keep learning: There are about 5000 different types of cancer, each with its own personality. At your age of 26, i'd be surprised to see a classic bladder or pancreatic cancer, but a little thyroid cancer wouldn't surprise me at all even without genetic risk, and a uterine or colonic cancer or both would make me wonder lynch's but not be surprised. It's always been like this; it's not today's radiation.
