Possibly: Some forms of stomach cancer show up on ct scans others do not. Sometimes the doctor has to go down through your mouth and esophagus and look directly into your stomach and take biopsies of your stomach to find other kinds of cancer. Certain kinds can b e very difficult to diagnose as they can hide in the lining and not form large tumors that would be visible on a ct scan.
