Privacy: You should never text them. Any medical issues or professional communications should be done through their work numbers or emails.

Ask your doctor: If you were given his cel number it seems appropriate to contact him if truly needed. You don't want to abuse it. If you are not very ill contacting the doctor once a day seems excessive.
