I'm about to have knee surgery and need to lose weight. can i take fat burners to aid in weight loss if i take half the recommended dosage?

They do not work: The best approach involves motivation and discipline. Minimize carbohydrates, control portion size and calories, no snacking , etc.

Fat burners: I would not recommend it. The so called "fat burners" are drugs that are not fda approved and none of us have any idea what the long term side effects are. I would never take any over the counter fat burner or diet pill and certainly wouldn't recommend it to my patients either.
