Constipation: Actually bananas are notorious for causing constipation. Eliminate those, drink plenty of water and watch your dairy products ( they harden the stool). If you haven't had your colon evaluated recently by colonoscopy, you should do so.

Moderation: Eating fruits are generally allowed with diabetes or prediabetes, but you should not go overboard with the amount. Typically 3-4 fruit servings daily is okay. You can always take a fiber supplement (metamucil, fibercon, etc) to help with the constipation. If you check your sugar 2 hours after eating and it is above 180, you need to cut back on the fruit.
