A member asked:

Reconstructed acl: hyperintensity seen in the proximal part with anterior tibial subluxation. can someone explain that to me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reinjury?: The acl tethers the tibia to the femur preventing it from sliding forward in certain positions of knee bending. Hyperintensity seen in the proximal part of the reconstructed acl means there has been an injury/tear/bleeding of the ligament where it attaches to the femur (thigh bone). Subluxation means the tibia is sliding forward/not doing it's job. See your ortho doc for an exam and plan.
