I had a facial mole removed by the shaving method. it is now flat but darker. is there anyway to lighten it? or does it need to be removed again?

May need excision: There is professional debate about the removal of benign skin lesions - whether to shave them off or cut them out (excise them). Of course sometimes a darkened scar can be helped by topical applications of a skin-lightening prescription-medication-crème (e.g., hydroquinone). Nonetheless, sometimes the most effective treatment of a round scar from shave-removal is actual excision of the round scar.

Perhaps: It either is a darker scar, or a recurrence. See a dermatologist of facial plastic surgeon for advice.
