It may: Seborrheic dermatitis and telogen effluvium can both be precipitated by HIV though most people who have hair loss from these are not infected with hiv. If you have any concerns that you may have HIV on your mind, you owe it to yourself to find out the truth. Get with your physician. Either result is better than worrying.
