Alternate: Norco is hydrocodone and tylenol (acetaminophen) and these are metabolized in the liver. Motrin is metabolized in the kidney; alternating is a good idea as the drugs work by different mechanisms. I recommend taking the drugs two hours apart so that one is always working to keep you pain free. If the discomfort lasts more than 3-4 days (getting no better) then see your dentist asap for a check.
