Breakthrough bleed: It sounds like you are having some breakthrough bleeding. Sometimes this can be due to hormonal imbalance between your 2 female hormones, estrogen and progesterone. If you aren't on the birth control pill, this can happen. Typically may not mean anything 'wrong' other than imbalance. If continues, see doctor and consider rx for birth control, as will help lighten and regulate periods.
