Otitis externa: Many people develop chronic, dry, itchy ear canals that is often called eczema. This can be exacerbated by scratching the ear canal with qtips and other objects, like fingernails, bobby pins, and pen caps to name a few. This can usually be easily treated with a variety of ear drops and avoidance of scratching.
