Symptoms?: Doctors don't typically check for thyroid cancer unless there is a specific suspicion, such as when there is a mass or a lump or other concerning symptoms. Share your concerns with your doctor again and share your concerns. If you do not really have any symptoms or masses in your thyroid, I do not see a need to check for cancer of the thyroid.
