Hurt my back 6 months ago working out. ct scan says right l5s1 mild facet arthropapy. why does it hurt on both sides then. wonder if it's correct?

Pain pars fractures: Ct scan very good at demonstrating osseous abnormalities such as facet arthropathy, pars defects, and bony spinal stenosis. Ct scan should have demonstrated pars defects.Mr exam very sensitive for soft tissue abnormalities involving nerves, ligaments, and discs. You apparently also had mri.

Yes MRI is Correct: If there is evidence of facet abnormalities, then yes. Often most of us get some level of facet degeneration as we get older and those of us more active can face more degeneration, however that does not mean we need to treat these issues. Sometimes consideration of facet injection/treatments is based on pain in the area and diagnostic test block of the nerve associated with that joint.
