A member asked:

Can lupus cause arthritis in the spine (lower) and if so, would this show up on an mri, or not since i read that arthritis from lupus is non-damaging?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Lupus causes non destructive arthritis mostly of peripheral joints (hands, feet) other things could be causing the back pain, and should be investigated. Good luck!
