A member asked:

Is it true that if you are breastfeeding the milk that comes from your right breast is water and the other is the food that you ate?

Not true: Both breasts produce milk of the same composition. During a breastfeeding session, milk does start out more watery, and the longer the baby nurses, the more calorie-dense the milk becomes (hind-milk has a higher percentage of fat).

No: Both of your breasts contain milk that have basically the same composition/balance of water, proteins, fats, and nutrients. Your breastmilk is composed of 80-90% water.
