A member asked:

Im breast feeding my 6 months old but having a hard time pumping enough extra milk to make up her cereal. is it ok to use water or another alternative?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes.: At 6 months of age, a little breast milk is still better than none, but you should not expect to meet all needs with it. Adding formula is fine; even a little whole cow milk if there are no problems with it.
