Stimulate reaction: Tumor necrosis-alpha , ( tnf) also known as cachexin or cachectin is a cytokine mainly secreated by macrophages stimulates the acute phase of inflamation. Tnf regulates the immune cells, performs varieties functions as pyrogen ( causing fever ), regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis ( cell death or suicide ) , in lipid metabolism, in coagulation of blood etc.
