3 types: Three types of lesions of bone are noted. Most common is metastatic from a lesion such as breast ca or prostate ca. Other Ca cause is where marrow acts as a reservoir and eventually releases tumor cells. Congenital lesions such as cartilaginous lesions can convert to malignancies i.e. chondro- sarcoma and the 3rd being tumors such as giant cell lesions or Pagets tumor of bone becoming Ca.
