What other things would a dr be looking for when they order mri for possible meniers disease?

Causes of vertigo: Meniere's is a condition caused by a disorder of the inner ear. This condition can cause hearing loss, ringing of the ears (tinnitus) and vertigo or imbalance. Other processes that affect the inner ear or brainstem can also cause these symptoms, and an MRI is often ordered to look for structural lesions that might be putting pressure on the brainstem or the inner ear.
