No and No: Many people have mild scoliosis. It can run in the family. A primary care doctor and/or an orthopedic back doctor can check to see if anything needs to be done. Usually, doctors want to be sure that the scoliosis has been there since one's teen years, and hasn't changed since then. If truly mild, then there should be no problem with restaurant work.
