BP meds: Ask our doctor if you are on maximum doses of your BP meds. That would be 300 mg of irbesartan, which is Avapro and 10 mg of amlodipine. If not, ask to have them raised to those doses. If these not control your bp, you can start on a diuretic or go to a drug class called alpha-blockers such as Hydralazine or a beta blocker. If your physician needs help, ask to be sent to a nephrologist. Good luck.
