Drugs: Ibesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (arb) and is not an ace-i (a). The actions of arb's and ace-i are similar in regards to be BP and proteinuria reduction. Most physicians do not use arb's and a together and you can rest assured you are on a good class of BP meds while being on an arb.
