Sorry to hear: Well, Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is an amphetamine and i see why a lot of physicians are hesitant to prescribe it. You may need to provide them with a copy of your previous records to prove you used it correctly and were free from addiction in the past. But even then, it is not a guarantee they will prescribe as some of them just try to be on the safe side. You may need to call a few clinics to inquire until find 1.

Are you seeing: General practice or family practice physicians? Many gp's and fm doctors elect not to prescribe psychotropic medications or they stay with a small number of psychiatric drugs with which they are familiar. Or they may have a question about appropriateness of the med even though you took it before. You may need to see a psychiatrist to sort it out.. Take care.
