In some ways.: Add was thought to be a disorder of children and adolescents. Now we realize it doesn't magically disappear when you turn 18. So there may be many untreated adults out there with add that they have had for years.

ADHD is uncommon: ADHD is not common among adults. Distractibility is common in this very noisy world, where may adults work in cubicles or open office situations where noise is very common.
