Possible blood clot: The may be several possibilities of causes of this. It could be a ganglionic cyst which are very common. It could be a lipoma which is a benign fatty tumor or other forms of pathology. Obviously it also could be a blood clot, especially if you injured or sprained your ankle. You need to seek medical attention for this concern, including x-rays.

Not sure: about a blood clot. Typically a DVT/ blood clot will appear in the deep calf region. A picture or video would be very helpful in diagnosing and treating the area in question. Any pain out of proportion should be looked at immediately.
