See Neurosurgeon: You have severe neuropathic pain. Take Neurontin or Lyrica (pregabalin) for the pain, get referral to neurosurgeon.

Herniated Disk: Numbness/weakness in the distribution as you suggested is normal after nerve irritation. Decompression can be helpful, so upside down hanging will help somewhat however if your pain worsens i would not recommend continuing it. You might want to consider other options like epidural steroid injections if not resolving by a pain/spine specialist.

Neurontin (gabapentin): You obviosly have neuropathic pain, it can be or not associated with your disc pathology, an EMG is another diagnostic tool that can help elucidate the ethilogy.For neuropathic pain the use of Neurontin or Lyrica (pregabalin) are helpful, olso epidural steroid inyection may help.You shoul consult an spine surgeon to help you with options avalable to you.
