That would best be answered by a doc who has all the past & current history, exam and tests. We are not able to access/view any uploaded studies/pictures/etc. It is considered unethical to offer an opinion based on scanty information.

Surgery may be the best option if there is unrelenting pain, progressive muscle weakness and/or atrophy, and urinary problems. If fairly stable without risk, over time a disc may desiccate and shrink, usually over 9-10 months. Discuss these thoughts with your doctor.
