Mission impossible: Undertaking to control either people or situations is a 'mission impossible"! the frustration or anxiety that results is unavoidable until you find a realistic goal. Cbt therapy might help to understand your well-intended and common confusion. Mindfulness meditation can be helpful. You'll redirect your efforts toward things you can effect. It involves awareness and acceptance and it works. Best!

Generalized Anxiety: Generalized anxiety with a strong emphasis on people and situations. Socially anxious people are generally fearful of interactions and shy. Anxiety has a strong emphasis on control and this can certainly affect people in their social relationships because many social interactions are unpredictable.
