A member asked:

If everything in urine analysis was fine except for presence of nitrite should i worry about uti ? i only have decreased urination volume nothing else

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Why was the test: Done? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Generally presence of nitrite indicates urinary infection and a positive result should be followed up with urine culture.
