Yes: First MRI of c-spine to r/o disc disease. If brachial plexus injury a possibility an MRI of the brachial plexus can be obtained.

Yes: An MRI can be very helpful. A nerve study called an EMG and nerve conduction study can also be useful. Finally, seeing a specialist can also be helpful.
