Bad?: Otc kits you buy at the drug store are okay. I would avoid the paint on ones. The best ones are from your dentist because they fit the teeth snugly. Once you have the trays you can purchase any gel to use as they are all generally the same.

Tooth whitening: DIY bleaching kits can work. Over the counter kits such as crest white strips that can be purchased at most any drug store work well and are very affordable. Some of the kits you buy off of websites can work, but if they have bleaching gels with generic bleaching trays that don't fit you teeth well, you will get bleach leaking around your gums and it can cause irritation and pain.

Let me ask you:: If your car needed auto body repair, would you try to do it yourself or go to a professional auto body repair shop? In both cases, if you want the job done well, it requires professional advice, experience and the right materials and methods. It depends upon your priorities, expectations and needs.
