What are the chances of me now getting a cold sore on my eye?

Uncommon: Cold sores of the lips usually do not affect the eye, however Herpes infections can affect the eye. If you have any pain, get seen immediately by an Ophthalmologist. Shingles can affect the area and if the tip of the nose is involved, the eye can be involved as well.

Vision change poss: I agree with Dr. Lambert. Also know that sudden onset blurriness and floaters can indicate the beginning of herpetic infection in the eye, though this is uncommon
