Eye exam: It sounds like you have a stye, a clogged oil gland on the eyelid. Rarely they can get infected and cause eyelid swelling and redness. I recommend you see your eye doctor to rule out an infection. They can treat an early infection recommend treatment for the stye, which includes warm compresses, eyelid scrubs with baby shampoo or incision and drainage of the stye.
