Brain damage: Headache cannot cause brain damage, other structural lesions need to be rule out for longstanding daily headaches.

Depends on cause: It depends on the cause and type of headaches. The usual muscle contraction and migraine headaches are not associated with brain damage, except for potentially damaging basal artery migraine. Potentially damaging headaches may be caused be brain tumors, artel venous malformations and brain infections.
