Headaches are common: It is important to find out what is causing your headaches. you should see your doctor. If there is no immediate answer, get a referral to a headache specialist, usually a neurologist. It is unlikely that headaches cause brain damage. however, it is what causes headaches that is the issue.

Depends on cause: It depends on the cause and type of headaches. The usual muscle contraction and migraine headaches are not associated with brain damage, except for potentially damaging basal artery migraine. Potentially damaging headaches may be caused be brain tumors, artel venous malformations and brain infections.
