Heartburn: The heart does not produce burning pain. What is colloquially called 'heartburn' is pain from esophageal and gastic hyperacidity and inflammation. You can try antacids or over the counter ranitidine, cimetidine or famotidine. Taken twice a day they will usually help within days.
