Qualified yes: A cavity is a n infected hole in a tooth. The surrounding tooth material can become stained from decay or from a silver filling. Sometimes dentists will use stainless steel caps on badly damaged teeth. See your dentist to find the answer that pertains to you.

Vague: Is the silver the color of many of your teeth (could be tetracycline antibiotic staining (intrinsically) within the inside the tooth from birth, or stain from a silver filling. Discoloration can also occur from decay within or outside the tooth/teeth. Need to see a dentist.
