Sounds quite normal.: If you do any activity, that you don't do regularly, you will be hurting for 4-7 days, as you exercised some muscles that you don't exercise, beyond the regular day to day level of activity. The way to improve on the discomfort now, would require you to continue exercising the same way, at a lower level of intensity. The trick is to do it regularly and daily, maybe twice a day.
