The worn down look may be because the vertical dimension is incorrect(clark gable had dentures for thirty years and no one knew). See a prosthodontist and get a consult for implants. 4 in the upper arch will allow you to have an upper denture with no palate;taste will come back. 4 on lower arch will give you a very stable lower.
