Discuss: You can try discussing the charge with the physician to see if they can reduce, eliminate, or spread out the charge. When you signed the documents with your doctor on your first or recent visit, it must have said that they will charge for phone calls. The other option is to appeal the denial with the insurance company. Good luck.
