Need parents: Parents need to give consent for use of antidep. in their child/teen. If you need help, getting it illegally. If you need help. Talk to your doctor about how you are feeling. They can help you talk to your parents about it, if you are afraid of telling them. Taking anti-depressants can be dangerous. If you don't have somebody monitoring how you are doing. They can cause suicidal ideation.

Depends on: your state laws. In Washington, if you are 13 years and older you can be seen without your parents for drug/alcohol, family planning/STD, or mental health issues. Check your state. Although, I strongly recommend adolescents discuss care with their parents before starting any meds. Remember, these laws were put in place to protect vulnerable adolescents not undermine parental relationships.
