A member asked:

Can you tell me about the meaning of this, that percocet is classified as a schedule ii drug ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Schedule II: is a classification given to a medication by the DEA (Drug enforcement agency). There are certain restrictions placed on schedule II medications in regards to their prescribing, storage, transfer, etc. Usually medications with high abuse or overdose potential are in this category. A google search of schedule II medications would reveal other medications on this list.
