At age 23...: Relatively slim, depending on symptoms and family history. If procedure done to investigate hemorrhoid symptoms, e.g. Bright red blood, itch, pain, lump, then it is done. If you also have any of abd pain, diarrhea, fever, weight loss, joint or skin or eye issues, etc., then further evaluation is warranted. Strong family history of colon cancer (esp younger than age 50), needs more looking.
