I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy a few days ago after plenvu bowel prep. now constipated-passing v small, hard stools frequently but unable to empty bowels fully and v uncomfortable. is this normal after f sigmoidoscopy? reluctant to take more lax!?

You had a thorough cleaning out with a colonoscopy prep when a prep for a sigmoidoscopy is much less rigorous& is usually something like a couple of fleets enemas 2 hours before the procedure. I recommend eating fiber, taking a stool softener and drinking plenty of water. If you have an urge to have a BM but can't, insert a dulcolax rectal suppository. Enulose is a gentle laxative as needed.
