Nerve root block: The MRI shows the nerve roots and where they are compressed by the curve. A nerve root block can be aimed at the sore nerve root and can help the leg pain.

Possibly: If the scoliosis is causing the nerve to be pinched exiting the spine it can be the cause. Also people that have scoliosis for a long time will develop arthritis faster in those areas of spine and can cause sciatica symptoms as well.
