Taking cipro (ciprofloxacin) and metrodinazole for colitis but can one of this antibiotics cause kidney infection? been drinking ginger ale for nausea too?

No: Antibiotics don't cause infections, they treat them. If there is an issue making you worry about your kidney (which Cipro (ciprofloxacin) treats btw), then you should contact your dr for re-eval / re-exam. Gingerale works well for nausea, particularly if not diet, if room temperature, and if partially de-fizzed. If not improving or worsening, go to er.

See below: These antibiotics cannot cause a urinary tract infection. There are many causes of colitis that would not be cured with these antibiotics. If you do not get better see a gastroenterologist and get a colonoscopy. Good luck and feel better.
