Surgeon if continues: Most children pass stool normally after the pull-through procedure. Children may have diarrhea for awhile., e the muscles of the anus after surgery. Some children develop constipation. Sometimes bowel obstruction can occur with fecal holdup. Sometimes stenosis can develop at anastomosis. Keep in contact with surgeon if problem persists. Eventually most normalize to regular bowel habits.
