I think I know: Perhaps there is a miscommunication. You describe yourself as having alpha-thalassemia trait. That never raised anybody's serum iron unless a physician mistakes the small red cells for iron deficiency and loads you. Do you think you might also have hemochromatosis? This will lower your libido, testosterone, and thyroid tests (pituitary damage, 2ndary hypothyroidism) just as you've described.

Possibly: In diseases like hemochromatosis, iron can accumulate in the hypothalamus, pituitary and testicles, which can result in a central hypothyroidism (low tsh, low t4, low t3) and low testosterone. You should see your doctor to discuss diagnosis and need for replacement hormone therapy.
