Possibly: Your TSH is in the high-normal range (your thyroid levels are borderline low for you). You also make antibodies that may further limit your thyroid's ability to make thyroid hormone over time. Most docs would decide on treatment on a case-by-case basis. Unless you were pregnant - then TSH of 4 definitely needs treatment. Home pregnancy test & talking w/ your doctor are the best next steps.
